Tuscany-Inspired Santa Monica Engagement Photos

Jessie and Berk, who are getting married in New York this September, asked me to take their engagement photos at the Palihouse Hotel in Santa Monica, California. The historic hotel features a nice bar with romantic lighting. The outdoor area, resembling a Tuscan villa, adds a distinctive touch to any engagement shoot.

Palihouse Santa Monica, with its Mediterranean-style architecture, provided a sophisticated backdrop for Berk and Jessie’s session. They added a creative touch with paper parasols, a personal favorite of mine. If you like seeing unique couples’ sessions, you can explore more of them in this blog. The hotel strikes a nice balance between boutique and luxury. There’s a coastal ambiance with mist and warm air enveloping the property. I’ve noticed each of their hotels has its distinctive style. If you’re vibing with Palihouse, they have over twenty locations across the U.S. – and hey, I’m always up for some travel wink.

SANTA MONICA ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS AT PALIHOUSE HOTEL

We started with some romantic shots in the bar, where the moody lighting and the vintage feel of the velvety green seating, dark green walls, and gold accents set the tone. As we strolled around the well-maintained property, we captured plenty of romantic and timeless images. The yard, enriched with beautiful greenery, showcased intricate architectural details like spiral columns, arches, and balconies. I genuinely loved this session.
